Make the journey your own

We are all on a journey whether we know it or not. If you are on a spiritual journey you may be more aware of this. For many of us, we look to others to help show us the way to a more enlightened and fruitful inner life. This is both positve and negative in my opinion. Positive because guidance from those who have walked before us is valuable and helpful, negative because it can set up expectations that don't come to fruition for us and then we may feel like failures and wonder "what is the matter with me". The truth is we are all different and will have varied experiences. The fact is we set out on our journey looking for answers to who and what we are, we may walk a thousand miles and more before we realise that the journey inevitably leads us back to ourselves, the clues may be out there but the truth is inside of us all along. However the journey isn't wasted for we pick up valuable insights and often have amazing breakthroughs in understanding.

No journey is a waste of time and we shouldn't criticise ourselves for leaving ourselves only to find that we are where we need to be at any given moment. Try not to feel like a failure if you don't have the wonderous events that others have like seeing our star brothers and sisters or being able to sense or see into the the other realms of existance from an early age. We each have our own mission and agendas, we all are unique and worthy and we each have exactly what we need to not only go on our journey but to pick up the things we need and to  leave behind the things we don't. Just do YOU for there is no one else like you.
